Our Provider

James Kenneth Giordani,

MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

James is an inclusive psychiatric nurse practitioner serving the Winter Park and Orlando area, dedicated to providing affirming mental health care that honors the unique lived experiences of every individual.

Compassionate and experienced, James offers personalized psychiatric care, including comprehensive evaluations and medication management, grounded in evidence-based practices. While he does not provide talk therapy, he works closely with therapists to ensure well-rounded care and can provide referrals to trusted therapists tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.

James believes in partnering with patients as an active member of their care team. His goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered on your healing journey.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, or other mental health challenges, James provides guidance, hope, and compassionate support every step of the way.

I’m James Giordani,  MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC , a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner based in Central Florida. I work with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated by the way their mind has been affecting their life.

Many of the people I see are doing their best, yet still feel held back by symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood changes, trauma, and related mental health concerns. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening and find a path forward that feels steady, supportive, and manageable.

My approach to care is thoughtful and evidence-based, but always tailored to you. Medication management isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about finding the right balance to help you feel clearer, more grounded, and better able to engage in your day-to-day life.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong Star Wars fan. I’m drawn to its themes of resilience, hope, and finding balance during difficult times—values that strongly influence how I show up for my patients. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel understood, supported, and never rushed.

If you’re considering care, you don’t have to have everything figured out. We can take the next steps together.

Together, we’ll work collaboratively to restore balance, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting progress. My goal is to help you move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence—at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where lasting change is possible.

I believe that trust and mutual respect are the foundation of effective care. Building a therapeutic relationship takes time, and you should never feel rushed or pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can move at your own pace, focus on your priorities, and develop strategies that truly work for you.

The early sessions provide a space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what’s been going on. From there, we explore what’s getting in the way of feeling better and create a plan that supports healing, builds on your strengths, and moves toward lasting change.

Clients often share that our conversations feel both natural and reassuring—like speaking with someone who truly understands—while also providing clarity, growth, and direction. This balance of comfort and meaningful progress is central to my approach, and I believe it’s how lasting change begins.

Please reach us at healingandclaritymentalhealth@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We provide expert psychiatric care and medication management for adults navigating a wide range of mental health challenges, specializing in:

  • ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

Appointments

  • Do I need a referral to see you? No, a physician referral is not required to schedule an appointment. However, we will reach out to your insurance company before you are seen. If your specific plan requires a referral for reimbursement, we will let you know ahead of time so there are no surprises.

  • Is there paperwork I need to fill out before my first visit? Yes. Once you request an appointment through our secure portal, you will receive a link to complete your intake forms digitally. Please complete these at least 24 hours before your session so we can maximize our clinical time together.

Clinical and Medication

  • How often will we meet for follow-ups?  Initially, we may meet every 2–4 weeks to ensure your treatment plan is effective. Once you are feeling stable and your medications are well-managed, follow-up visits are typically scheduled every 1–3 months.

  • Can you refill my medications between appointments? Refills are handled during your scheduled 30-minute follow-up visits. This ensures proper monitoring of your health, symptoms, and any potential side effects.

  • Do you provide therapy?  No, we do not provide standalone talk therapy sessions. Our practice focuses on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. We value collaborative care and are happy to work with your existing therapist to ensure your treatment is well coordinated. If you are not currently working with a therapist, we can also provide referrals to trusted therapists based on your individual needs, goals, and preferences.

Please note that an in-person visit is required for the initial prescription of controlled substances, and regular follow-up appointments are mandatory for ongoing refills. We do not provide early refills for lost or stolen medications.
